Device Info is a lightweight Android app built with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose that shows detailed information about your phone in one scrollable list. It covers device and build details, display resolution and refresh rate, battery level and status, RAM and storage, every sensor on the device, cameras, network type, and processor details such as chipset, CPU architecture, core count, and maximum frequency per core. Each item appears in a colorful Material 3 card.
Most people never see what is inside their phone. The goal was a simple, ad-free app that shows the key hardware and system details clearly in one place.
Finding the real chipset name: Devices report it in different ways, so the app uses Build.SOC_MODEL on Android 12+ and falls back to system properties and /proc/cpuinfo. CPU details without a library: Core count and max frequency per core are read from the system's CPU files, with safe fallbacks if a file is missing. Lots of data in one screen: Info is collected into one list and shown in a lazy list of color-coded cards, so scrolling stays smooth.
Single-activity Compose app with a LazyColumn of reusable InfoCard composables and a Material 3 theme with dynamic color support
No backend or database: all data is read directly from the device, with no network calls
