Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which AlSaeedDev (Al Saeed) accepts or declines refund requests across all products and services offered through alsaeeddev.com and alsaeeddev.com/shop. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase or engaging our services.

We offer three categories of products and services, each governed by its own refund terms:

  • Digital Products (shop)
  • Print-on-Demand Physical Products (shop)
  • Freelance Development Services

2. Digital Products — No Refund Policy

All digital product sales through our shop are final and non-refundable. This includes but is not limited to UI kits, source code templates, Jetpack Compose components, design assets, and any other downloadable files.

Because digital products are delivered instantly and cannot be "returned" once accessed or downloaded, we are unable to offer refunds under any of the following circumstances:

  • Change of mind or buyer's remorse after purchase
  • The product does not meet personal expectations that were not specified in the product listing
  • Incompatibility with environments, tools, or software versions not mentioned in the product description
  • Accidental or duplicate purchase, please contact us immediately if this occurs and we will handle it on a case-by-case basis
  • Failure to read the product description, requirements, or preview before purchasing

Exception: If you experience a verified technical issue that prevents you from downloading or accessing the product and we are unable to resolve it within a reasonable timeframe, a refund may be considered at our sole discretion. Please contact us within 7 days of purchase with full details.

3. Print-on-Demand Products — No Refund After 24 Hours

All print-on-demand merchandise is custom produced upon order placement. Once production begins, the item cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded.

3.1 Cancellation Window

You may request a cancellation within 24 hours of placing your order, provided production has not yet begun. To request a cancellation, contact us immediately at hello@alsaeeddev.com with your order number. If the cancellation is approved before production starts, a full refund of the actual amount paid will be processed.

After 24 hours, or once production has commenced, whichever occurs first, no cancellations, returns, or refunds will be accepted for the following reasons:

  • Change of mind or buyer's remorse
  • Incorrect size ordered: please review the size guide on each product listing before purchasing
  • Minor colour or print variation from product mockups, as screen displays and print processes naturally differ
  • Delayed delivery due to shipping carrier, customs, or events outside our control

3.2 Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Item

A replacement or refund will be offered if your order arrives damaged, defective, or does not match what was ordered. To qualify:

  • Contact us within 14 days of confirmed delivery at hello@alsaeeddev.com
  • Include your order number and clear photographs of the item and its packaging
  • We will review your claim and arrange a replacement or refund of the actual amount paid

Claims submitted after 14 days of confirmed delivery will not be eligible for a refund or replacement.

4. Freelance Services, Cancellation & Refund Terms

Freelance development service engagements are governed by a written agreement (via email or messaging) defining the scope, timeline, and payment terms. The following refund terms apply to all service engagements:

4.1 Cancellation Within 24 Hours

If you wish to cancel a freelance service engagement, you must notify us in writing (via email) within 24 hours of making payment. If the cancellation request is received within this window and no work has commenced, a full refund of the actual amount paid will be processed.

4.2 Cancellation After 24 Hours

If a cancellation request is made after 24 hours of payment, or once work has commenced, whichever occurs first, the following applies:

  • The work completed up to the point of cancellation will be assessed and charged at a fair rate proportional to the agreed project price.
  • Any remaining balance after deducting charges for completed work will be refunded to you.
  • If the charges for completed work are equal to or exceed the amount already paid, no refund will be issued and no additional payment will be requested for that completed portion.
  • A detailed breakdown of work completed and the corresponding charges will be provided to you upon request.

For example: if 40% of a project has been completed at the time of cancellation, charges equivalent to 40% of the agreed project price will be retained, and the remaining 60% will be refunded.

4.3 Non-Refundable Situations (Freelance)

No refund will be issued for freelance services under the following circumstances:

  • The project has been fully completed and delivered as per the agreed scope
  • Cancellation is requested after the agreed deliverables have been handed over
  • Delays or dissatisfaction caused by the client's own lack of responsiveness, incomplete briefing, or late provision of required materials
  • Change of mind after work has been substantially completed

5. Refund Amount & Tax Disclaimer

All refunds issued by AlSaeedDev will be for the actual amount received at the time of the original transaction. We are not responsible for, and will not reimburse, any of the following:

  • Transaction fees: Any payment processing fees charged by the payment gateway (e.g., PayPal, Stripe, or similar) at the time of purchase or refund are non-recoverable and will not be included in the refund amount.
  • Taxes & duties: AlSaeedDev is not responsible for any taxes, VAT, GST, import duties, or any other government-imposed charges applied to your purchase on either side of the transaction, whether charged to the buyer or the seller. Such charges are entirely outside our control and will not be reimbursed.
  • Currency conversion losses: If you paid in a currency other than USD, any losses arising from currency conversion rates at the time of purchase or refund are your responsibility.
  • Bank or intermediary fees: Any fees charged by your bank or financial institution when receiving a refund are not our responsibility.

The refund amount you receive may therefore be slightly less than the amount you originally paid due to the factors listed above. AlSaeedDev will always refund the full actual amount it received, we will not make deductions beyond what is outlined in this policy.

6. Refund Processing Timeframes

Once a refund has been approved by AlSaeedDev, the following timeframes apply:

  • Refunds are initiated on our end within 3–5 business days of approval.
  • The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your payment method and financial institution, and may take an additional 5–10 business days.
  • You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been initiated from our side.
  • If you have not received your refund within 15 business days of the approval notification, please contact us and we will investigate.

7. How to Request a Refund

To initiate a refund or cancellation request, please follow these steps:

  • Email us at hello@alsaeeddev.com with the subject line: "Refund Request – [Your Order Number or Project Name]"
  • Include your full name, the email address used at checkout or for the service agreement, your order number or project reference, and the reason for your request.
  • For damaged or defective print-on-demand items, attach clear photographs of the item and packaging.
  • We will review your request and respond within 2–3 business days.

Refund requests that do not include the above information may be delayed or declined.

8. Modifications to This Policy

We reserve the right to update or amend this Refund Policy at any time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Any changes will apply to orders or engagements initiated after the updated date. We encourage you to review this page before making a purchase or engaging our services.
