Social Media App UI Template is a complete Android UI kit built with Kotlin and XML layouts, with 19 ready-made screens for a modern social network. It includes login and signup, a feed with stories, comments, new post creation with gallery and filters, a story viewer, chat with an attachment menu, a video call screen, nearby people search, friend profiles, notifications, and a settings menu. It uses dummy data and has no backend, so you can connect your own API or Firebase and launch faster.

Objectives

Building a social media app UI from scratch takes weeks. The goal was a clean, ready-made template that covers the main social app screens, so developers and agencies can skip the design work and focus on features and backend.

Challenges & Solutions

  • Many screens, one consistent style: A shared green theme, Poppins font, and reusable drawables keep all 19 screens looking consistent.
  • Easy to extend: Every screen has its own ViewBinding and adapter, so adding real data is mostly replacing the dummy lists.
  • Smooth navigation feel: Fade and shared-element transitions between the main tabs, plus a bottom sheet for chat attachments.
